Dena and Melissa start the show chatting about Dena’s new viral videos:

2020 TikTok highlights

Comparing The Kardashians to The Crown

Dena tries to convince Melissa to watch The Crown, but she prefers The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. They discuss if Brooks Marks has a TikTok and creating one for “hospital smell.”

Dena is sending Melissa a 2 Old 4 TikTok shirt, but neither of them know how to ship things.

The D’Amelio’s Youtube keeps getting worse

They once again rip apart the D’Amelio’s off-putting YouTube series and a video called “Coke & Mentos With Salem Ilese.”

Dixie D’Amelio’s “One Whole Day”

Then we discuss Dixie’s new song, “One Whole Day” featuring Wiz Khalifa.

TikTok Trends for December 2020

With Straight TikTok grievances out of the way, we move on to explain the latest TikTok trends:

Grace Groski’s (@theofficialgracegroski) rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”

The idea behind this trend is that people use this sound while sharing traumatic stories that just get worse and worse.

Megan Thee Stallion’s “Girl’s in the Hood” and #HotGirlShit

Megan Thee Stallion’s “Girl’s in the Hood” is used as the background to women doing mundane things with the tag #HotGirlShit.

Championxiii’s “Boo!” and #ImAGhost

This trend involves Championxiii’s song “Boo!” and the hastag #ImAGhost to create a dance trend using the Out of Body TikTok effect.

Dena mentions one of her favorite creators Leenda Dong (@yoleendadong) doing a funny version of the trend.

#ThisOrThatChallenge with Gordon Ramsay and Bon Jovi

The #ThisOrThatChallenge uses TikTok’s text boxes to create two options on the screen. The video participants must choose one option or the other by walking off camera in their chosen direction.

Celebrities like Gordon Ramsay (@gordonramsayofficial) have done the trend with their kids.

Same goes for Bon Jovi and his son, they used his son’s account @hamptonwater.

Celebrities on TikTok: Laura Dern, Rosie O’Donnell

We explore even more celebrities coming to TikTok like Laura Dern (via her daughter’s account):

And Rosie O’Donnell:

Talk show clips on TikTok: Tyra Banks and Wendy Williams

Speaking of Rosie, remember she used to have a talk show? Now our FYP’s are mostly filled with old clips from The Tyra Banks Show:

And The Wendy Williams Show:

TikTok Joke Trend: Talking to your Uber driver during a night out

Melissa brings up one of her favorite jokes on TikTok lately, this idea of the “friend chatting with the uber driver while everyone else is drunk.” We showcase two of our favorite videos:

Davis Burleson (@davisburleson2)

Stephen Hart (@realstephenhart)

Creator Spotlight: Kentai Haven (@kentai.haven)

Special shout out to one of our favorite creators this week: CEO of guessing people’s heights on TikTok, Kentai Haven (@kentai.haven).
