The top TikTok trends and songs right now include Ted Talks/Tod Talks, Hedge Tok, pink scrunch butt leggings, Billy Joel’s Zanzibar, heaven vision boards, baked feta pasta, Jeni’s everything bagel ice cream, tortilla quadrants, nacho tables, and more.
Here’s a breakdown and round-up of the most popular trends and songs on TikTok for February 2021.
TikTokers are using a Ted Talks animation effect to offer quick and simple “insights” met by applause from the Ted Talk audience. It’s a great parody of the talks that are often very lofty and thought-provoking.
Jerabean’s tutorial of the Ted Talks trend explains it all. It’s actually an effect on Instagram called Tod Talks that people are posting to TikTok as well.
Check out the #TedTalk tag on TikTok to see all the videos.
Killian Sundermann rates hedges in his area (he lives in Ireland) on Hedge Tok.
People are using the tags #buttliftleggings and #scrunchleggings to show off the latest TikTok fashion trend.
@maxmith_ started the trend which consists of four dance moves: Pull the curtains down, middle finger, driving car, jazz guitar.
Check out all the dances through the TikTok Zanzibar song page.
Creators use audio by Ariana (@badgalariri_) which is a snippet from Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” where she sings,”Dear Lord when I get to heaven, please let me bring my man.”
They create vision boards showing what their idea of heaven looks like.

The baked feta cheese tomato pasta is a viral sensation with millions of views. It was started by Jenni Häyrinen (@liemessa) using the tag #uunifetapasta. Here’s one video from @cookingwithayeh showing the basic recipe:
Now all the food TikTokers are creating their own variation on it. Here’s one from popular food TikToker @scheckeats:
TikTokers are trying Jeni’s new ice cream flavor and giving their thoughts. Many put it on a bagel or doughnut to get the full effect of an everything bagel. Here’s one from @sugar_pusher:
And here’s @itskatesteinberg taking the Jeni’s everything bagel ice cream taste test challenge.
We spoke about the tortilla challenge in our last post. In general, the trend asks creators to slice tortillas into four quarters and add different ingredients to each side, then fold them on top of one another to create the perfect sandwich.
At this point, the tortillas have gone rogue.
Here’s a particularly ridiculous one. Jacqueline Devine (@justbeingdevine) voices over the video using a duet to explains what is happening.
Joanne is a Korean vegan chef and lawyer creating breathtaking videos on TikTok. She often pairs visuals of her making food with audio sharing a meaningful personal experience or moving words.
Here’s her spin on the #tortillatrend:
This video by @cooking.with.jemima is about making a quesadilla (not the tortilla challenge) but, oh my, this made us cry laugh. This child puts this quesadilla through hell and basically boils it in garlic powder and water. Don’t forget to read the comments!
To participate in the nacho table trend on TikTok, you just put tin foil or saran wrap on a big table then spread a ton of chips out and start topping them with nacho toppings.
You can see all the videos on the #nachotable TikTok page.
It’s actually become quite controversial.
Here’s a video of @itsmetinx hating on them:
