TikTok Language, Song Trends, Free Britney and more!

Dena and Melissa talk about @raviroundtheworld’s TikTok “The Most Annoying Phrases of 2021.” It’s really just TikTok language. We discuss how all these phrases came about on TikTok in the past year.

Then, we discuss song trends by SZA (@sza) “SZAS VERSE KISS ME MORE” featuring videos from @rokkninja and @ashray. There’s a little “ding” in the song where people put their hand up, then it cuts to a new scene. They typically are wearing new clothes and in a new location.

Next is “ACDC Beegees mashup.” We mention videos from @courtlex_, @monikapagehavens, and @hailiedeegan. The song is a mashup of ACDC and the BeeGees. The trend involves parents saying they look like their kids. At the mashup part of the song, they reveal their children who look exactly like their parents.

“SLEEPZ SOUND” is the next trend, featuring videos from @brynndutelle and @dariong8. It’s a sexy sounding song. The trend that goes with it starts with a zoom in on you tapping your foot, then it zooms up to you waving a towel with your hand. The next shot zooms out to reveal what you’re doing and it’s usually a joke or a play on something not actually sexy.

The last song trend this week is “Nobody” by Mitski. Ed Sheeran (@edsheeran) made one. We also mention one from @concretecr0tchkiss. Creators use the song in the background while they run away from something. They use text over the video to explain what they’re running away from. It’s usually something intangible, which makes it funny that they’re physically running from it.

Tune in tomorrow night at 9pm BST #EdSheeranLive
